Dedicated to the memory of Doreen Scott

This site is a tribute to Doreen.

Lost my dear mum, Doreen Mary Scott on 19th January 2023 after suffering vascular dementia for many years. Very sad to see her deteriorate over this time. At the time of her passing, she had little or no memory of the past 50 years and was unable to recognize her own family.
Most upsetting was to see her get worse over the years, knowing of the eventual outcome and unable to do anything to help her. For at least the last 10 years my mum also suffered in pain, gradually getting worse over time. At the time of her passing, her pain was so severe that strong pain relief helped only a little. My mum is now free of pain and all her memories with her. Goodbye Mum, Rest In Peace.

She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Thoughts

In memory of Doreen Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun, life holds so many lovely things, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing, that we could know today how nothing but our sadness, can really pass away. And think of her as living, in the hearts of those she touched… for nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much. RIP

Doreen, or also “mama” as poppa used to call you, thank you for welcoming me into the family all those years ago. You made me feel loved and welcomed always. The memories of coming to Leicester to visit and having the most beautiful Sunday lunches cooked off you will stay with me forever. Your love of owls, the way you used to say “ohhhh geoff” and you complaining to poppa for making me laugh too much makes still makes me smile to this day. You were a very strong lady and you were adored by many. Thank you for all the memories and thank you for giving us Geoff who we adore and who we would be lost without. Rest in peace Doreen, go be with Poppa and live amongst the angels in heaven Lots of love today, tomorrow and always, Sarah xxx
